12/16 Homework

PEMDAS worksheet

MCPSS Magnet School Application period begins Jan. 5

Mobile County Public Schools will begin accepting applications for enrollment in magnet schools for the 2016-17 school year on Jan. 5. Students are selected for the magnet schools via random electronic drawings. The first drawing will be held on Feb. 1, and the deadline for applying for it is Jan. 31. Applications will be available at mcpss.com and will be accepted through March 31, with additional drawings in March and April.

12/14 Homework

Math EQT study guide: Word problem sheet... and make sure entire packet is complete. Rework a few of each type of problem to refresh for tomorrow. Also, some have Metaphor worksheets if they didn't complete them in class.

Homework for week of 12/7-11

EQT study guides have been given for math, science, and reading. Students will complete these packets each night and study from them. In addition, Unit 10 spelling activities should be completed every night. EQTs begin this Friday, Dec. 11!

12/7 Homework

Math worksheet (Dividing Mixed Numbers), Metaphors worksheet, spelling activity (this week words are: abolish, condemn, expand, prey, appeal, descend, famine, thrifty, brittle, dictator, portable, visual)

12/3 Homework

Math 5A pg. 143-146, write a synonym and antonym for each vocabulary word, study water cycle and 13 colonies: All tests tomorrow!!

12/2 Homework

Math Workbook 5A pg. 141-142, Vocabulary--write a sentence with each word using striking words AND circle the subject and underline predicate, read AR for 30 minutes! STUDY vocabulary, multiplying and dividing fractions, the water cycle, and 13 colonies! All tests will be given Friday!

Math workbook 5A pg. 131-134, Unit 9 Vocabulary activity (synonyms/antonyms, write in a sentence, definition, write paragraph/story using all vocab words, any activity to show you know the meaning of these words), read AR 30 min Vocab Words: brisk, cherish, considerate, displace, downfall, estimate, humiliate, identical, improper, poll, soothe, vicinity. Also, please make sure you have your parents fill out, sign, and return the STUDENT-PARENT INFORMATION form sent home today! These are very important to the funding of our school
